This month’s featured clip comes from Jed Mercurio’s stunning Medical Drama ‘Critical'(Sky 1), directed by Jon East with Cinematography by Tim Palmer and starring  ‘The Walking Dead’s’ amazing Lennie James. In this clip, Glen Boyle has to make a life/death decision at the scene of a road accident. Enjoy.

A lovely Afternoon at University of West London talking about Vfx in Critical and Beowulf.

I spent a great afternoon talking to the students at London School of Film media and Design (University of West London) about working with digital vfx in editing. I Got to show them a bit of Jed Mercurio’s Critical (Sky 1) and the opening sequence of Beowulf (ITV) broken down into the various vfx stages. Thank you to @Joneastuk for the storyboards, it really helped out and they loved the boltcutters scene in Episode 13 (for anyone who has missed this bit of TV joy, click this link CRITICAL – SKY 1 and then click on ‘cutting the leg’. Thank you for making me feel so welcome.

Congratulations to Milk VFX for their RTS nomination for their Amazing work on Beowulf

Many congratulations to all the team at Milk VFX for their RTS nomination in the Digital vfx category, for their work on ITV’s BEOWULF: Return to the Shieldlands. Not only was the work amazing, but given the size of the project and the timescale, it was an enormous task that they took to with great enthusiasm and good humour. It was a pleasure to be involved in the project and I will always be grateful for the knowledge I gained working with them throughout 2015. To view some of their work click this link BEOWULF – ITV.

Holiday & Assembly Edit cover

Dear All,

Having just finished a stint on No Offence II for Channel 4, I am back on the market looking for my next project.
